In April 1896, Dr. Pio Valenzuela, Emilio Jacinto, Candido Tirona, and brothers Procorpio and Andres Bonifacio, organized a Katipunan branch in Kawit, Cavite. At this time, Procopio headed Tanglaw, one of the two sections of Laong-laan Council.

On May 10, 1897, the 24-year-old Procopio and Andres were executed by forces loyal to General Emilio Aguinaldo.
